Notes on Production
Limestone and clay mixture soil. Fermentation in stainless steel tanks separately on the fine lees for 6 months before blending and bottling.
Tasting Notes
This new, playful wine is the balanced blend of the native Sicilian Grillo grape and a french clone of Chardonnay, with a touch of Viognier. The Viognier adds a sweet perfumed quality, Chardonnay, acidity and body and the Grillo the bold flavours. The Gerbino Bianco is golden yellow with a soft bouquet of ripe melon, peach, with floral notes. This leads to a round and supple mouthfeel with citrus and minerality.
